Candy cane candle holder

A quick, no-skill-required craft that turns a plain glass jar into a festive candle holder.

You'll need

• A glass jar or votive holder
• Candy canes (real or faux/craft-store versions, for longevity)
• A rubber band, and ribbon to finish

How to make it

1. Wrap a rubber band around the jar as a temporary guide.
2. Slide candy canes vertically under the rubber band, hooked ends up, until the jar is fully ringed.
3. Tie ribbon around the middle to cover the rubber band and secure the canes.
4. Place a candle or battery tea light inside.
