Peppermint patties

No oven required — just a bowl, a fridge, and a little patience while the chocolate sets.

You'll need

• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 3 tbsp. softened butter
• 3 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
• ½ tsp. peppermint extract
• 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

How to make them

1. Mix the powdered sugar, butter, condensed milk and peppermint extract into a firm dough.
2. Roll into small balls and flatten into discs on parchment paper; freeze for 15 minutes.
3. Dip each disc in melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off, then return to the parchment.
4. Chill until the chocolate sets, about 20 minutes, then store in the fridge.
